They can track your ip address even if its embedded. Tracking pixels are existing for this reason. You can’t open images directly on reddit, it redirects to an image viewer, which loads god knows what javascript.

Why do you want to post it in avif? My problem was you just linked it from reddit, and haven’t uploaded it somewhere else. I can’t open it because it’s linked from reddit, not because it’s not avif. There are countless image hosts, a lot people use https://catbox.moe/ for example, and it won’t convert it to any other format.
For posts you are right, the default webui wants to open them as links, but in Voyager they are embedded correctly. This is temporary, as support for avif was already added in January, it will work in the future, I guess in the next release: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/pull/3738

I don’t know if the problem is on lemmy’s side, or reddit rate limits us or something. But we shouldn’t give clicks to reddit anyway.
Also if the post will be deleted on reddit it will stop working here as well, so it’s more future proof if you mirror it to here or somewhere else.
Can you host images somewhere else than reddit? It’s blocked(?) by some instances, I can’t even see them without going to lemmy.world, or following the link to reddit. On reddit you can’t open images in full size, literally the worst image host I can imagine.

OSM “categories” are not mapped one to one with CoMaps categories.
office=notary is interpreted as a synonym of office=lawyer. You can see this replacement in this file:

Osmand uses a totally different map generation workflow, so it’s expected that you see different things there. Osmand tries to stay close to the upstream OSM tagging shenanigans, while CoMaps aims to be a more user friendly app, you can see it here again.

If you search for the name of a subcategory CoMaps will show that in the search result. If you tap on that it will highlight elements with that subcategory. So search for “archaeological site”
