      It’s weird how I’ve always heard statutory rape as “not really rape”, it’s like we made a law that says minors cannot cencent to having intercorse with adults, but then immediately said but hey its not realy bad it’s the “cool rape” like what the fuck, I get there being degrees in crime but most folks I have met who were victims still have side effects and mental issues decades later.

        It’s rape.

        Men are always trying to come up with excuses. “She was leading me on”, “she shouldn’t have been wearing these clothes”, whatever. I’m sure the men who do it take this to the extremes of “at least I didn’t drug her”, “at least I drugged her so she doesn’t remember any of it”, whatever.

        The moment one starts comparing one is lost. Rape is rape.

        If I heard someone describe statutory rape as not really rape, I’m going to stare at them like they just took a shit in the sink and washed their hands in the toilet.

        Then I’m calling the police, who will then lecture me on whether or not I’m “willing to ruin a man’s life over this”
