My wife used to drive an electric Smart Car for her work. Its 60 mile range was perfect for her needs, and she never had to search far for a parking spot in the city. She’d regularly fit into spots that SUVs etc. had to pass by.
Smart is owned by Mercedes. They pulled the Smart line from the US a couple years ago because Americans largely want their tank-sized SUVs and not small efficient cars, even in major cities. Good luck To Fiat as they learn the same lesson…
Since Jeep ended their 4xe trim level, I’d bet it’s only to keep their corporate (fleet) average fuel economy high enough to not be fined. Trump reset the cafe standards, but couldn’t eliminate them.
