A BROOK is once again flowing across a hidden gem near Stroud thanks to a groundbreaking project which is set to create a thriving wetland habitat.
Work led by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust has seen the Holy Brook diverted back to its original course at Trillis Nature Reserve near the Daneway Inn at Sapperton.
Restoration work hailed as ‘a great example of a nature-based solution in action’ means the area can once again thrive as a floodplain habitat after the waterway was altered generations ago for agriculture.
