It’s likely that most acts decent enough to headline are already fully booked for the summer.
Standard operating practice would just be to move everyone else up a slot, and book some ‘up and coming’ band to fill the very early slot that’s left vacant. Glastonbury managed to shuffle people between days when they lost their headliners a few years ago, depends who’s free and who’s got other bookings.
Looks like they had West headlining all three days, and I can’t find anything about who else was due to play - Drake, maybe? The 2026 festival looks like a scam, how little detail there is about it.
Glastonbury is about as non-standard as it gets.
I imagine there’s a clause in the contract that he gets paid in full if they cancel him, but only a small %age if they cancel the whole thing.

Honestly, I still have hope for him eventually. People are complicated. But I’m ignoring him for a few years. Don’t give a shit what his new music sounds like, or anything he has to say. He dropped his apology, now’s the time to sit in the background and show the world he means what he says. Words are useless, have to be backed up by actions now. And I’m tired of hearing about his acions. He needs to learn to shut the fuck up for a while.
I’m pretty sure he was warned of the consequences of going Nazi when he did it. Going to take more than words from a publicist to regain trust.
Actions have consequences, the more rich people that are forced to learn that the better.
