What I’m getting from this is that most nations completely lack public monitoring and records keeping for seismic events.
Which is silly since pre-existing fiber optic networks are taking ambient seismic surveys all day and night by virtue of just existing and being monitored and utilized for long distance highspeed data transmission.

In general (which means lots of handwaving here) most of the kinetic energy in earth’s crust is happening at plate boundaries, subduction zones or continent-continent collisions (Himalayas).
