so like, i have generational hoarder trauma. we’re not that bad, but we don’t throw away shit we can legitimately use if we have the room to store it without making a mess. so i have three extra PC boxes and two extra laptops on a shelf in the garage that i was waiting for the energy to go through, wipe the hard drive, see if there were any parts i wanted to use and blah blah blah. now if anything burns out i have my spare parts cache sitting there and thank the machine god it won’t be too much of a downgrade.
