“There’s a rat in separate.”

This is one of the mistakes I keep making cause it’s pronounced “seperat” in my dialect.

I actually didn’t know the verb and adjective are spelled differently

I’m a writer and always did exceptionally well in English; I also sometimes can’t remember how to spell separate. Imagine how difficult it is for someone who doesnt know English as their primary language. Or an average American.
