It’s very obvious I’m targeted with botted downvotes on reddit and piefed, but of course a lot of people only have bot-level brains.
I’m curious what people here think of this particular example from the comments on my last post here.
They upvote someone giving me an irrelevant link while pretending it’s relevant, but they downvote the shit out of me explaining why it’s not relevant. For context, the discussion was about a shell script I was trying to develop to store data in the corner of a video using QR codes.

The original thread is removed now, so this link to see more of the context won’t work. I also can’t copy and paste from the original post to provide more context, because unlike reddit, piefed doesn’t let me see my own posts after they’ve been removed.
The post did last a few days before being removed, and not a single one of the people downvoting me (or upvoting that guy) ever replied to explain whatever half a percent of a thought process their clicks were based on, so I felt like making this follow-up post to invite discussion again.
One of the mods/admins here also harassed me with gaslighty DMs (continuing after I told them to stop) and temporarily banned me, they are now blocked. (That post was also the first place I posted the shitty early version of the code in this project, so removing it is pretty fucked up since it makes it harder for me to prove when I first posted it if any liars try to dispute that later.) I’m looking forward to being permanently banned so that I’m permanently done dealing with you people here, but in the mean time, I’m curious about any responses to this.
It’s on topic (literally about the place I’m posting it in, and about programming) but you want it removed. What would happen if both of you said that instead of lying? Would it be unbearable for you to handle your feelings that way instead?
Have you considered that, perhaps, your prickly attitude and the tone of your posts is the source of the downvotes, rather than the content?
Possibilities:
A. The screenshot didn’t load for you and you’re getting way ahead of yourself making shit up presenting it as reality without loading the actual image
B. (obvious real one) The screenshot did load for you but you’re trying to gaslight me by pretending you thought it was really “prickly” or had some extreme “tone” - conflating my replies for hostile disingenuous time wasting dumbasses like you with my reply for someone who posted an irrelevant link under possibly good intentions
Mate, I could not care less about your screenshot. I’m referring to your posts in this thread, which extends to this very reply, where you’ve got a generally off-putting, condescending tone and frankly, I’m glad you’re getting downvoted for them, because that sort of behavior is just not something I’d like to see rewarded on the fediverse.
Do you get paid for this or are you just getting practice by trying to gaslight me?

We can all click on your name and see your other comments, I suspect that’s what they’re referring to. There is a really strong correlation between the number of downvotes you received for past comments and whether or not they contain language like “fuck off retard” or similar.
I think they hit the nail on the head, and there is no point in botting downvotes on this platform in the first place, since there is no karma.
My client tells me I’ve downvoted you before as well, though I don’t remember where.
Buddy just needs to join an instance with downvotes disabled, but clearly they enjoy this persecution complex.
