Having a dullard king who’s too thick to get historical references and too narcissistic to see beyond the gilded splendour of the surroundings (and mentally make plans to build something twice as ostentatious) is the trick.

Putin played a fucking number on the USA for sure. Permanently wrecked the republic without firing a single shot.
