You know when I’ve seen Democrats freaking out? Not when the fascist was elected but when the socialists were. They rigged the election against Bernie, they threw a hissy fit when AOC was elected and they’re still vowing to fight socialism within the party today. They don’t vow to fight fascism do they? If you look at their actions, then being controlled opposition is undeniable.
I’ve heard it this way: establishment democrats are afraid of socialist/progressive candidates winning primaries not because they think they’ll lose the general election, but because those candidates will change what people expect from their elected officials.
