    I love this comic but the lady on the left’s sword ought to be shown as on the outside; this isn’t an effective way to make an effective thrust because you can get killed yourself pretty easily

      It seems to be caught on the cross guard? I’m not an expert with this fencing style so I don’t know if it’s a reliable catch, but potentially if you’re coming from your sword above theirs, you could lunge while dropping your arm, catching the sword in that cross guard while securing the blow. Seems kinda risky though, more of a sports maneuver than actual killing someone in my mind.
