I have a windows 11 installation without an account. You got to get an alternative image (I got LTSC).
I was really hoping there would be a jailbroken version of windows by now, you know a version that doesn’t update and doesn’t have any bloatware.
I guess it’s just not worth it given how far Linux has advanced.

If there is a contract then that’s not a thing you own, it’s more like you leasing your living room.
I can leave everything I own in a storage space, if I can’t then I don’t own it.

It’s free though. As in you can “buy” it to try and hack it or just not use it to make the company lose money.

One of the few times capitalism has “worked” and all because it’s not a publicly traded company.
I really wonder where we would be if most big companies were not on the stock market as opposed to being on it.

You had me until:
Imagine what companies would pay for the “intelligence” of knowing what their competitors are thinking
Right there is the reason why it will fall apart once it hits critical mass.
The little guys might not have a choice but the big players will run away from the cloud if it means they lose their edge.
I kind of agree with you but from experience I know when businesses get way waaay too big, they kind of trip over themselves cause of all the tech debt and spaghetti code
If it was it would burn faster
