Happiness and unhappiness come from both internal and external sources. The problem is making yourself RELIANT on the external.

Programming@programming.dev•AI still doesn't work very well, businesses are faking it, and a reckoning is comingEnglish
0·16 days agoIt is possible to get good results, the problem is that you yourself need to have an very good understanding of the problem and how to solve it, and then accurately convey that to the AI.
Granted, I don’t work on embedded and I’d imagine there’s less code available for AI to train on than other fields.

Same as always - by coding.
If more people were contributing there wouldn’t be a need for AI.

12·1 month agoYeah, I don’t use my phone for gaming or any other intensive applications. I use it mostly for communication, authenticators, and music. As long as it has a 3.5mm jack I dont care.

Technology@lemmy.world•Give your Matrix account a Discord UI with CommetEnglish
21·2 months agoThank you very much for these links. I really like the ideas Matrix + Element, and I think they have the best shot of making something very usable. Hopefully this gets implemented one day and I can actually make the switch!
Edit: While clicking around I came across this: https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-rust-sdk/issues/5397#issuecomment-3714128184
Does this mean it should be already implemented or am I reading it wrong?

Technology@lemmy.world•Give your Matrix account a Discord UI with CommetEnglish
11·2 months agoAgreed, but metadata not being encrypted remains a fact. Sure, metadata of a single message might not mean much, but when combined with metadata of many messages from many users you can find out a lot about a person and their habits. Especially when cross-referencing with other data sources (social media of other users, phone location, etc.).

62·2 months agoMessage metadata - such as sender, recipient, device ID, and timestamps - is not encrypted at the transport layer, and in many cases remains visible to the homeserver

Omega 6 is only good is you’ve overconsumed Omega 3 and you need more O6 to bring them back to thr ideal ratio.
With the “standard 1st world diet” of today you are very likely overconsuming O6 in the first place.
Either way, still better than Crisco.
