Tax them and every company that lays people off because of AI and put that towards UBI. Trumps not gonna do it because he’s a shortsighted moron, but that needs to happen if companies are planning to sacrifice jobs for AI.

They need to be funding UBI with it too. Every time a company kills a job because of AI they need to be taxed and that should go to UBI.

This is one of the reasons that I’m not worried that AI is going to amount to anything meaningful and will likely remain in its current form or worse for a long time. The current products are cannibalizing important sites that they source their data from. Those sites may collapse and AI is going to stop learning and not have much further competition. Then the companies are going to stop innovating and stagnate while making their products prohibitively expensive and bogging them down with ads.

They also can never find their signals and are by far the most aggressive drivers on the road.

Definitely from the company’s perspective, but I have a hard time believing that the workers are expensive from a perspective of what they should be making if wages kept pace with inflation and skills for the last six decades or so.

Unless their employees can take vacations whenever they want with no pushback about coverage and they’re not forcing them to work late nights and weekends, they’re not overstaffed. I don’t think there’s a tech company in this country that hasn’t squeezed every bit of their employees’ schedules that they can without major pushback. We should be working fewer hours, not overtime and until that happens, we’re absolutely not overstaffed.

He’s paid all of them too?! If a cop has a spare $36k to spend on being a reckless driver, he’s being paid way too much.

I never used it because of the Chinese government affiliation. I’d feel even less inclined to use it with maga affiliation.
