Programming@programming.dev•The Software Quality and Productivity Crisis Executives Won’t Address
0·2 months agoWhere do you live/what do you work with? I must say that for my customers - developing a secure, accessible and high quality product is what you have to deliver. They will not accept anything less. This is fantastic for me as a developer, product owner and CTO. We spend a lot of time refactoring and creating a great and bug free experience for our customers and their customers. 100% respect for craftsmanship.

Technology@lemmy.world•Windows 11 just lost 5% market share in two months despite Windows 10 losing support.English
7·2 months agoThe thing is, (as you already know but this is for people that have not yet taking the plunge), Linux today is so unbelievable good. It’s both snappy and good looking. A 5 year old computer feels like new. There might be a little tinkering, but you know that might be a quite fun experience and your computer feels like new again.
I run Debian for my tv PC, steam link with bt controller - shit just works and it’s so fast.

Buy European@feddit.uk•View from Europe: The Increasingly Convincing Case for Canada Joining the EUEnglish
0·2 months agoThere are still a few eu countries that have not yet start using the common currency. But i would say that it’s getting harder and harder to argue that staying outside is something positive. Sure it might feel like a big step but you gain so much more.

Buy European@feddit.uk•View from Europe: The Increasingly Convincing Case for Canada Joining the EUEnglish
3·2 months agoAs a Swede I feel kind of the the same, but regarding joining the Euro. But what are our options? Sure the Krona could survive another 100 years but the full access to the inner market seems pretty rad. But yeah we need to have a serious talk about democracy with Hungary and a talk about sustainable finances with some countries.
Politicans can be cool. Some are not. But you could be.
