I’m suggesting we stop breeding “livestock” (sentient animals) into existence for a life of torture to then be killed and eaten by humans.

80% of agricultural land is used for animal agriculture. Rewilding most of that land, making some of it habitable, and the remaining converted to plant agriculture would be a far more eco-friendly solution.

Which I agree is unethical; however, real world solutions don’t happen immediately like that. A slow movement builds, and as demand for meat, dairy, eggs, etc. reduces, the supply will reduce over time until only a small portion of farmed animals remain. They should be cared for in a similar way that elephants on Sanctuaries or rescues are cared for.

Animal exploitation is not necessary though, and with only growing the plants for Humans, instead of also growing for non-human animals bred into existence to be killed, farms would use significantly less water.

Yeah, renting would work too. Though honestly trains would be best.

I want 125 mile range and swappable batteries.

My daily commute + any additional driving rarely exceeds 60 miles. If I could swap it for a 400 mile range battery before a long trip, that’d be cool. Just rent the battery for a week.

My first car was also a 4 cylinder. Basically 6 horsepower (actually just looked it up and it had 103 hp.)

I still drive my Leaf like a grandma on her weekly grocery run. I just don’t think we should have powerful cars. Ideally, we’d just have better public transit and more walking. But at least in the short term, smaller cars that won’t kill pedestrians.

I’m also happy with my 2019 Leaf Plus. I only wish I had not paid extra for the plus and instead just rented a car for any longer trips.

The additional cost isn’t worth it, I so rarely drive more that 50 miles a day.

I like the knobs and buttons, my Leaf isn’t connected to the Internet, but it has Android Auto. I think it’s too big, but most other people in my home country (US) think it’s a tiny car.

I’ve driven about 35,000 miles since mid-2020.

They call it a cottage baker license around where I live (for baking at least). I got it in 2025 to sell some loaves and ended up having the most busy year of work so I sold zero.

My 2019 Leaf is great! Knobs, no internet, no apps, good battery, reasonably comfortable to drive.
