I’d avoid TPB. It used to be alright but it’s gone way downhill after several takedowns. It’s kind of the Wild West now. Sure you can find a few things not other places, but you’re also way more likely to get a virus or something. The mega thread pinned in this community has good alternatives like 1337x

You mean the stuff every TV has these days? I also never hook mine to the internet so not really a problem. I haven’t seen a single ad in the year I’ve had mine

They’ve really worked to turn that around with their TVs. They’re entry level still sure, but for the price it’s hard to beat and their quality control on them has taken a big step up.

I joined a team and was assigned a bug that had been bugging them for two years. Randomly files they saved would be corrupted.

Eventually isolated it to the third party library they used to serialize the data. For some reason this library corrupted file names that were an odd length. So “cat” would get corrupted while “cats” would save and load just fine. It was a black box library we didn’t control so was told to just program a workaround to check filename length and append a character if it was odd and move on.

I still want to know what that library was doing.
