3·1 month agoCompletely agree, treat them broadly like e-bikes. Limited speed and use only on roads and bike paths, not footpaths.
That said, I see a lot of people riding e-bikes which don’t comply with the existing e-bike speed limits, so perhaps better enforcement is needed as well. There’s definitely a place for these faster e-bikes, but they’re basically e-mopeds and should act like it (roads only, driving licence, number plate, MOT, insurance etc.).

37·4 months agoIf I’m understanding correctly, this is saying that isolation between different clients on the same VLAN is broken? But this attack doesn’t break isolation between VLANs?
So the major issue is if you’ve got a guest network on the same VLAN as your main network

Here’s the initial statement from the RAIB https://www.gov.uk/government/news/collision-between-two-passenger-trains-near-elstow - pirc_lover had it about right
One train developed a fault which caused it to stop. The second one, as seen on its dashcam, drove through a red signal (which it should have stopped at) and into the back of the first. They are still investigating why the second one didn’t stop at the signal and whether that might include brake failure, safety system failure, driver error, and/or any other factors.
