I only read one print book last year, but read dozens of ebooks
I am deeply skeptical that the actual number is this high.
The overall share of Americans who have read a book in the past year has remained fairly stable since we first asked this question in 2011.
idk, this seems not particularly abnormal. Is there a reason to question the data here?
Just knowing people and being a reader, so it’s a topic that comes up.
I would bet that people overreport the amount they read (including people who read regularly), especially those who are embarrassed that they haven’t read a book in a while. And I doubt that that quality has changed much over time.
