    For the people not using Linux in the comment section, you can’t skip a Windows update. It’s going to happen no matter what.

    I mean I guess you can adjust the registry or whatever but 90% of Windows users aren’t going to do any of that.

    I could have done it and I didn’t. I updated and now my cursor is all fucked up.

    I’m so glad my win 10 rig stopped working and my son fixed it with a Linux os. Hopefully I’ll never have to update windows again, only wine 🍷. Never going back if i can help it! Never even got to experience the pleasure of win 11 lol

      Several Windows 11 updates are great, actually. They corrupted the OS and made it unable to boot, which given it’s Windows, not booting makes the experience better.

    never install optional preview updates for windows.

    that’s what this one is. if you install what is essentially a beta update, expect the worst. that your computer will not boot back up. that your data went ‘poof’. that kind of ‘worst’. a lost wallpaper and goofed up cursor is nothing compared to what could happen.
