The thing about “PC gaming” is that I already use a PC (laptop) daily, so it makes sense to also use it to play games rather than buy a separate device, especially if I mostly play cheap indie games with low spec requirements.

I don’t know enough about those instances’ leaders to guess whether they’re also misled by propaganda or knowingly supporting these dictatorships and their actions.

I think we might be having a misunderstanding. I thought of “tankies” as denizens of lemmy.ml and similar places, likely not even being Russian or Chinese themselves or living there.

I’m pretty sure you are right about Chinese and Russian imperialism. However, the average person anywhere is not a knowing supporter of imperialism themselves… that’s where propaganda comes into play.

I don’t think even Trump supporters are that horrible people. At worst, tankies are falling for Russian/Chinese/etc… propaganda, possibly due to overcorrecting from American propaganda. None of us are immune to propaganda.

I’ve been playing my favourite kind of cozy point-and-click adventure on PC… Doom Eternal. (The demons are the puzzle and you point and click until it is done.) (Doom 2016 is better, tho - no Marauders, more ammo, more upset Hayden…)

As for phone, I’ve been trying out Google PlayPass and it might be the only Google service I keep using (unless/until I find a non-google alternative). I love no longer seeing ads or microtransactions in games. Some games I tried:

• Mini Metro (fun subway/tram/train network building game with daily challenges)
• Monument Valley (puzzle game about impossible architecture, alien geometries, and regret)
• There Is No Game (looks inside, finds game. False advertising smh my head)
• Human Resource Machine (great programming puzzle game, terrible IDE)
• Machinarium (cute robot-themed puzzle game from at least 10, possibly 20 years ago… UI design didn’t age well)
• INMOST (small horror metroidvania-ish adventure thingy)

From my experience, a password is a tool used to secure my workday from a bad guy called “productivity”.

Because why use an SSH key when I can enter the same username and password I used to log into the workstation every time I need to do something through the VPN? (It keeps logging off every time the connection breaks.)
