  • If you indulge me the theoretical Thought experiment (i love these)

You wouldn’t know it was real at any point of doing it, and when you end up in the new universe you won’t retain knowledge from this one, you might even wake up in the universe where you never had this idea.

You might live in a universe without Trump but You also wouldn’t know who Trump is. But then if only you could live in a universe where Musk was not the president you would kill for that.

  • No worried, i am agnostic, spiritual but not at all religious.

I wouldn’t recommend to put much actual trust in any of the human myths you previously studied

I am asking because, i find it noteworthy that within atheism you are still clinging to gnosticism.

Gnostic means you believe something and seem absolutely certain about it.

Agnostic means you are inclined to believe some things, under the knowledge that you could be wrong.

When you say you know how most of the universe is infinite, but then consciousness is without any actual proof an exception to this, then i would interpret that as a religious belief of some kind.

Anyway there are a near infinite ways to interpret reality. To me everything appears emerged from a singular point that factually expanded into many smaller things that can then interact with eachother, from which more interactions emerge till at some point all possible interactions between all possible things have occurred. I call this maximalisation of reality and it came from the tough experiment of if i had infinite space, time and knowledge what would do with it all. The answer was to experience that all. Good, bad, no judgement or goal, just all.

You don’t need to concern yourself with that neither do i suggest you take it as truth but you seem like an open minded person and i think the concept of agnostic spirituality could serve as an inspiration to enhance your view of life without having to pick a fixed truth you cant deviate from.

  • Not to make you second guess yourself but it always trips me up when people say they know that there is no post death experience. It seem gnostic.

The shrooms statement could be true for some perspectives and is impossible to proof either way. The idea can be used practically, to understand that death is nothing to worry about and even comfortable can make it easier to live life in the moment. But i have no idea why a healthy person would seek it out because it’l happen on its own for everyone anyway. Might as well live out the magic of this reality now as i experience it.
